Welcome

Welcome to the Templemore Aquatic Sports Club website. The Club was formed in 1983. The objectives of the Club are to teach, coach and promote all aquatic sport(s) and encourage further community participation.

We are therefore actively broadening our horizons to establish various other sports beneath our umbrella all of which will have an aquatic basis.

Templemore Swim School provides learn to swim sessions for children from the age of four and a half. All our qualified volunteer teachers take the children through a planned series of classes helping them have fun getting used to the water, understanding safety in the pool and gradually learning different swimming strokes. We also encourage the achievement of different swimming milestones. Our 'Distance Award Day' allows swimmers the opportunity to show off their skills, as does our end of season gala.

Templemore Amateur Swimming Club invites those who would like to compete both in individual and Club events from around the age of 7. Individual competitions are held throughout the year. The Junior Squad also competes as a team in the Forest Feast Aquasprint League. Senior swimmers also have the opportunity to compete and similar to the Juniors, our Senior Squad enters each year as a team in the Provincial Towns League.

Templemore Masters is for swimmers and triathletes aged 18 and over. It caters for recreational and competitive swimmers that wish to train in a coached environment.

The Clubs also organise social and fundraising events, open to all, throughout the year giving everyone the chance to get to know each other better as well as raising much-needed funds. Please do have a browse through the various pages on this site.

If you would like to find out more about the Club or our activities, please come along and see us or get in touch by email. The Club welcomes all sections of the community and those at all stages of development.
