Safeguarding
It is a policy of all Templemore Clubs to safeguard the welfare of all vulnerable persons by protecting them from physical, sexual and emotional harm. The club recognises that it has a responsibility:-
- To safeguard and promote the interests and well being of everyone with whom it is working;
- Take all reasonable steps to protect them from harm, discrimination or degrading treatment;
- Respect their rights, wishes and feelings.
Even for those experienced in working with vulnerable persons, it is not always easy to recognise a situation where an issue has occurred. Our leadership teams are not necessarily experts at such recognition. We therefore hope that we have created an open environment that allows any person to raise their concerns with a Coach or Officer at any time.
